John Clinton Taylor Griffith

John Clinton Taylor Griffith, age 40, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 in Homer, Alaska. He joined our Heavenly Father, his family said.
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, but resided in Huntsville, Texas, Clint was a veteran of the United States Air Force and Navy for 14 years, and served our country proudly. In 2013, he graduated from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. For the last five years, he worked for Schlumberger, and recently was promoted to DPM-Field Specialist Supervisor. He enjoyed life through simple pleasures such as camping, fishing, hunting and shooting his guns.
Clint is survived by his wife, Robin Griffith; grandmother, Rita Martin; mother and stepfather, Dianne and Greg Smith; father and stepmother, Randy and Patsy Griffith; brother and sister-in-law, Caine and Rhonda Griffith; sister and brother-in-law, Codi and Zach Ham; stepbrothers, Dreux and Quincy Smith; stepsisters, Miranda Smith and Diana Lowry; eight nieces and seven nephews; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lena and Richard Akkerman; and brothers-in-law Dan and Chris Akkerman.
