Oct. 10

Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to a 52-year-old Homer woman for fishing a drift gill net in waters closed at the time to commercial fishing.

Oct. 12

Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to a 23-year-old Nikolaevsk man for fishing in waters closed at the time to commercial fishing.

Oct. 16

Alaska State Troopers at 2:07 p.m. while on patrol on Diamond Ridge Road in Homer saw a man known to them driving a green GMC pickup truck and speeding. Troopers said the man failed to stop and drove through a residential area on gravel roads, crossing both lanes numerous times. Troopers pursued and found the man, and said he had a controlled substance in his car. 

They arrested him for first-degree eluding a police officer, reckless driving, driving while license suspended, fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and violating conditions of release.

Troopers at 4:08 p.m. contacted a 36-year-old Homer man for speeding. A records check showed he had a warrant for a commercial fishing violation. He was arrested and taken to the Homer Jail on a $600 warrant.

Oct. 20

Troopers at 11:59 a.m. while on patrol near Mile 157 Sterling Highway said they saw a 41-year-old Anchor Point woman pass them. Troopers knew the woman had a suspended driver’s license. They stopped the woman for speeding and issued her a summons for driving while license suspended.
