Artists inspire Girl Scouts

Posted: January 29, 2014 - 5:27pm

Kachemak Bay Girl Scouts held a Women of Art event on Jan. 25 at Homer High School where each girl got to work with three different artists to try out dance, ceramics, music, painting, photography, beading, drama, marine debris sculpture and cooking.  The girls had an amazing time getting to learn from local women artists and perhaps open new avenues of interest for a career or lifelong enjoyment.

Thank you so much to the generous women who shared their love of art with us: Brenda Dolma, Kara Clemens, Maygen Janetta, Ola Mullikin, Sharlene Cline, Tina Ball, Cindy Nelson, Lynn Marie Naden, Loretta Brown and Sharon Roufa. These women took time out of their busy schedules to mentor children in our community.
