We send our thanks to the Rotary Club of Homer Downtown and the Homer Foundation for their recent gift in support of the R.E.C. Room (youth Resource and Enrichment Co-op), a program of the Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic.
Thanks to your kindness and the generosity of others in our community, Homer-area youth will be able to continue to access vital resources to keep them safe and help them make healthy choices. At the R.E.C. Room, youth ages 12-18 have a free space to hang out, meet with friends and tap into community resources such as job training /support, drivers license prep support and resources for youth in need.
The support from the Rotary Club of Homer Downtown and the Homer Foundation has already made a lasting difference at the R.E.C. Room: our beloved Acoustic Fender Resonator guitar that is used almost daily — previously provided only temporarily via a loan — is now property of the R.E.C. Room, so it will live out its time in the hands of appreciative teens. Know that your gift has already enhanced this space and resources we provide for youth in our community. We appreciate your kindness.
