Nicholas Faulkner of Homer has been named to the honor role at Phillips Academy for the winter term. to be named to the honor, roll, students must maintain at least a five-point grade average on a six-point scale.

Rebecca Temple of Homer, has been named to the scholastic honor roll winter term at Oregon State University. She is one of 837 students with a straight-A average and carrying at least 12 graded hours of course work.

Little Fireweed (grades K-2)

Today: “Small Part of the World” musical extravaganza at Homer Theatre. Song and dance are combined in this showcase musical debut, as well as several video projects focusing on the school’s “forces” theme. All are welcome; $5 donation suggested. For information, call 235-5792.

Paul Banks Elementary School

Scholarship opportunity: Jack Hopkins Scholarship available for Susan B. English graduate pursuing education and vocation-trade school, applications available at school, may be applied toward tuition, vocational-trade school fees, books or campus related-approved room and board. All applications must be postmarked or received by the school office on or before April 12.
