MAPP holds open house, community meeting

Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships-Southern Kenai Peninsula, or MAPP-SKP, holds two meetings next week.

A community driven partnership for improving community health, MAPP holds an open house from 4-6:30 p.m. May 15 at the Kachemak Bay Campus to discuss and review its latest community health needs assessment. That assessment provided information on quality of life issues within the lower peninsula, including cultural, economic, educational, environmental, mental, physical and spiritual health.

From 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. May 16, MAPP-SKP also holds a community meeting to discuss and select a priority community issue, the first step in developing a community health improvement plan.
