Julie Woodworth, president of the South Peninsula Hospital Board of Directors, praises SPH CEO Bob Letson at a going-away party last Thursday, Nov. 30, at AJ’s OldTown Steakhouse. Woodworth listed his accomplishments over the past 10 years of his service, including expanding health services, steering new construction, adding new physicians and health providers, and tripling hospital revenues.

“Bob has been committed to SPH and community. He wore the hat of CEO seven days a week and was on call all the time,” she said. “…He has created a thriving rural, community hospital. Thank you, Bob. You’ve created a legacy.” (Photo by Michael Armstrong, Homer News)
