Hockey: The Mariner Co-op Hockey team will face off against Kenai Central High School at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 in Kenai.
Wrestling: The Homer Wrestling team will compete in the Conference Championships at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8 in Seward, and again at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 in Seward.
Cross-country skiing: Homer skiers will compete in the Lynx Loppett at noon Friday, Dec. 8 and at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, in Kincaid Park in Anchorage.
Girls Basketball: The Homer girls basketball team will gets its first taste of competition during the Kenai River Classic, to be held in Kenai. The girls will play Soldotna High School at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, Eielson at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, and Kenai at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.
Boys Basketball: The boys basketball team will play their first games during the SoHi Tip Off. They will play Seward at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, Service at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, and Eielson at noon Saturday, Dec. 16, all in Soldotna.

Cross-country skiing: Homer’s Nordic ski team traveled up the road to the Tsalteshi Trails in Soldotna on Saturday for a meet after their scheduled competition in the Mat-Su Valley was canceled. In the Tsalteshi Classic Invitational, Autumn Daigle took home first place for the girls, skiing through the five-kilometer, interval start race in 18 minutes, 16 seconds in warm, wet conditions not ideal for classic skiing. Homer’s Jacob Davis took third for the boys in 14:14.
