After injuring his shoulder earlier in the wrestling season, Voznesenka wrestler Gavril Kalugin was back on the mat at the Lancer Smith 2013 match in Palmer last weekend. Kalugin scored 4 team points. In the prelims, he won by a fall in 3:42 over Paxson Berry of Seward. 

In round one of the championship, Kalugin lost in a major decision, 15-5, to Zachary Ritchie of South Anchorage. In round 1 of the consolation match, Kalugin lost to Nyeem Johnson of Service High School, with a 5-1 decision.
