Cross-country skiing: Homer’s ski team is scheduled to compete next in the Kardinal Klassic at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24 at Kenai Central High School, followed by an invite in Seward on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Mile 12 Ski Hill.
Girls basketball: The Lady Mariners will travel to Nikiski for an away game at 6 p.m. this Friday, Jan. 24 against Nikiski Jr./Sr. High School.
Boys basketball: The boys team will travel to Nikiski for a 7:30 p.m. game on Friday, Jan. 24 against Nikiski Jr./Sr. High School.
Hockey: The Homer hockey team travels for three away games this weekend, starting with a 7 p.m. game tonight at Wasilla High School, and followed by a 7 p.m. game against Houston on Friday and a 2:30 p.m. game on Saturday against Palmer.

Basketball:
The Nikiski junior varsity and Ninilchik split nonconference games Monday at Nikiski.
The Nikiski JV girls started fast in a 37-16 victory, outscoring Ninilchik 19-2 in the first quarter. Jade Robuck came through with 11 points to pace Ninilchik.
The Ninilchik boys notched a 61-44 victory over the Bulldogs JV. The Wolverines led 14-8 after a quarter and 31-17 at halftime.
Ben Botero poured in 25 points to lead Ninilchik, while Cole Hadro added 14.
For Nikiski JV, Brady Bostic led the attack with 13 points.
