Week 6 of the Homer City Basketball League kicked off with a bang — Game 1, between the Smooth Ops and the Slammin’ Salmon was awarded Game of the Week. The Smooth Ops led the game by 18 points with less than 10 minutes to go. A late surge by the Salmon brought the game down to the wire, but the Smooth Ops stayed cool to win 45 to 42. The high scorer was Smooth Operator Shelby Sims, with 22 points. As of Nov. 23, the Homer City Basketball League the league standings are :
