Ski club members do safety training

Staff report

Fresh snow and heavy snowfall has meant the Kachemak Ski Club’s Rope Tow on Ohlson Mountain can now run regularly every Sunday, but it also means club members have to keep up with safety training.

On Sunday, KSC members did safety training, including moving a mock victim. Participating were KSC President Dr. Randy Weist, phsyical therapist Karen Northrup, Patrick Houlihan, Rope Tow inspector Bill Morse and Doug Reid.

The Rope Tow is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays at Mile 3.5 Ohlson Mountain Road. Daily passes are $10 for adults and $5 for students 18 and younger, with season memberships.
