Middle school boys and girls teams representing six Kenai Peninsula schools begin today the three-day 2013 Small Schools Basketball Tournament at Chapman School in Anchor Point.
Playing are the Aurora Borealis Polar Bears, Chapman Eagles, Cook Inlet Academy Eagles, Nikolaevsk Warriors, Ninilchik Wolverines and Seldovia Sea Otters.
The Chapman Eagles will be easy to spot in new uniforms purchased with help from the school’s parent group, Angela McKinney and Pat Ligenza of Blackwater Bend Espresso.
