The visiting Homer softball team dropped a pair of Northern Lights Conference contests Wednesday in Kodiak.

The Bears toppled the Mariners 20-12 and 15-0 as Homer fell to 0-2 in the league and 0-2 overall.

The Mariners stay in Kodiak for the Emerald Isle Invitational today, Friday and Saturday. Today, Homer plays North Pole at noon, Colony at 3:15 p.m. and Eagle River at 5 p.m. Friday, the Mariners play Delta at 10 a.m. and Wasilla at 4 p.m.

Saturday play is to be determined.
