The Palmer boys topped Homer 78-61 to drop the Mariners to 0-4 overall.
Henry Wedvick came up with 17 for Homer, while Spencer Dye had 13 and Einar Pederson had 11. Also, Steven Burns had 8, Preston Stanislaw had 7, Jamen Anderson had 3 and Ben Engebretsen had 2.
Leading the way for the Moose were four in double figures — Logan Rolston with 17, Nolan Garner with 16, Lukas Owen with 15 and Maddox Moore with 12.
The Homer girls notched their first victory in four tries by topping West Valley 41-29.
Channing Lowney poured in 19 for the Mariners, while Keagan Niebuhr had 11. Also, Madalyn Miotke had 5, and Stella Condon, Emily Stafford and Mally Im all had 2.
Arianne Derrickson’s 13 led the way for the Wolfpack.

For the Moose, Presley Wright had 17, Kaelyn Downey had 16, Jasmine Hephner had 15, Addy Wilson had 10, Lily Muilenburg had 8, Loren Nichols had 5, Grace Muilenberg had 3, Tinah Akello had 2 and Mariah Bothwell had 1.
The Homer boys lost 71-46 to Juneau-Douglas: Yadaa.at Kale to fall to 0-5 overall.

The Homer boys toppled Soldotna 57-54, with Homer improving to 1-5 overall and 1-2 at the tournament, and SoHi falling to 0-3 at the tourney and 6-5 overall.
The Mariners grabbed a 22-10 lead after the first quarter, and held on to lead 35-28 at the half. SoHi had it tied at 44 entering the fourth quarter.
For the Mariners, Einar Pederson poured in 20, while Spencer Dye had 15, Weston Marley had 10, Henry Wedvick had 8 and Preston Stanislaw had 4.
For the Stars, Easton Hawkins had 13, Izaiah Gilbert and Jayden Stuyvesant had 10, Damari Adams had 8, Josh Babcock had 5, Owen Buckbee and Theo Huff had 3, and Sam Strouse had 2.
The Homer girls fell to 1-5 overall and 1-2 at the tournament by falling to Service 76-21.
