In the game against Kotzebue, Channing Lowney paced the Mariners with 18, while Madalyn Miotke had 12, Abby Ostrom had 4, Stella Condon had 2, and Emily Stafford, Kieryn Huffman and Mally Im had 1.
For Kotzebue, Mckenzie Swanson and Elizabeth Brown had 14, Ashlyn Nelson had 9, Mylie McConnell had 7, Caliana Sheldon had 4, and Pauline McCall and Melina Garcia had 2.
Against Nome, Lowney had 10, while Keagan Niebuhr had 7, Condon had 3, and Ostrom, Kylee Akee and Miotke had 2.
For Nome, Alora Stasenko had 17, Benny Lie had 14, KJ West had 11, Lauren Kingstrom and Kamylee Walters had 6, Wookie Nichols had 5, and Sage Gregg, Brooklyn Crowe and Nyelle Lie had 2.
The boys opened the tourney with an 82-69 loss to Kotzebue to fall to 2-7 overall.
Einar Pederson poured in 28 for Homer, while Spencer Dye had 12, Benjamin Engebretsen had 9, Preston Stanislaw had 7, Henry Wedvik had 5, Weston Marley had 4, and Kaiden Bogie and Jamen Anderson had 2.
For Kotzebue, Ayden Wesley had 31, Ug Zuniga had 25, John Tikik had 14, Ben Marcus had 8, and Jake Sheldon and Jaxen Williamson had 2.
Friday
The Homer boys lost to Nome 82-58 on Friday at the Kotzebue Shootout to fall to 2-8 overall.
For the Homer boys, Spencer Dye got loose for 17, while Henry Wedvik had 16, Einar Pederson and Graham Plumlee had 8, Benjamin Engebretsen had 5, and Preston Stanislaw and Jamen Anderson had 2.
Cohen Booth had 22 for Nome, while Finn Gregg had 20, Lane Schuerch had 10, Levi Pederson had 8, Josh Contreras and Kevin Ongtowasruk had 6, Kendall Ulroan had 5, and Orson Hoogendorn had 4.
The Homer girls lost 58-30 to Kotzebue to fall to 2-10 overall.
Channing Lowney had 15 for Homer, while Mally Im had 6, Keagan Niebuhr had 4, Leya Johnson and Madelyn Miotke had 2, and Kieryn Huffman had 1.
For the Huskies, Liz Brown had 13 led the way with 13.

The Homer boys won and the Homer girls lost Saturday at the Kotzebue Shootout.
The Mariners boys topped North Pole 67-40 to finish 1-2 at the tourney and improve to 3-8 overall.
Henry Wedvik led the way for the Mariners with 24, while Spencer Dye and Einar Pederson each had 14. Also, Benjamin Engebretsen had 9, Preston Stanislaw had 4 and Weston Marley had 2.
For North Pole, Landon Swinning had 17, Carter Swinning had 9, Andrew Plowman, Nico Messa and Payton Jones had 4, and Andrew Choi had 2.
The Homer girls lost 49-35 to Nome to finish 0-4 at the tourney and fall to 2-11 overall.
For Homer, Keagan Niebuhr had 12, Abby Ostrom had 8, Channing Lowney had 7, Madalyn Miotke had 4, and Stella Condon and Kylee Akee had 2.

Lowney, Pederson and Wedvik made the all-tourney team for the Mariners. Also, Pederson won the free throw contest and Engebretsen won the 3-point contest by making 20 treys in a minute.
