The Homer softball team went 0-3 last Thursday at the first day of the Emerald Isle Invitational in Kodiak.
The Mariners lost 8-7 to Eagle River, 7-5 to North Pole and 14-2 to Colony.
In other Thursday action, it was North Pole 23, Wasilla 0; Eagle River 11, Wasilla 6; Kodiak 9, Colony 8; Delta 5, Wasilla 4; Eagle River 5, Delta 4; and North Pole 15, Kodiak 0.
Last Friday, the Mariners picked up its first two wins of the season at the Emerald Isle Invitational in Kodiak.
The Mariners improved to 2-5 overall by defeating Delta 15-3 and Wasilla 20-5.
On Saturday, the Mariners dropped two games Saturday in the Emerald Isle Invitational in Kodiak. The tournament featured bracket play, and Homer lost 10-7 to Eagle River and 5-4 to North Pole to fall to 2-7 overall. Kodiak won the title by topping North Pole 7-6 in five innings.
