Friday hoops: Ninilchik boys topple Homer

Kade McCorison erupted for 44 points as the host Ninilchik boys basketball team defeated Homer 81-56 in nonconference action Friday.

Ninilchik is 5-4 overall, while the Mariners are 1-6.

The Wolverines, who are the size of a Class 1A school but play at the Class 2A level, got by the Class 3A Mariners by getting four 3-pointers and a 10 of 14 performance from the foul line from McCorison, a junior.

Andon McCorison, only an eighth-grader, joined in with 18 points on four 3-pointers, while Brandt Mill had 10, Max Russell had 7 and Onyx Allen had 2.
