Saturday

The Homer girls defeated Kotzebue 68-31 and the Homer boys lost to Kotzebue 86-59 on Saturday at the classic at Grace Christian in Anchorage.

Grace won both the titles at the round-robin tournament, with the girls topping Barrow 59-39 on Saturday and the boys topping Monroe Catholic 58-55.

The Homer girls finished 1-2 at the tourney. Sydney Shelby led the Mariners with 20 points Saturday, while Channing Lowney pitched in 12.

The Homer boys were 0-3 at the tourney.

Friday

The Grace Christian boys notched an 84-52 victory over Homer on Friday at the classic at Grace Christian. The Mariners fell to 0-2 at the tournament.

Lucas Story was in double figures for Homer with 15 points, while Einar Pederson had 14.

For Grace, Kellen Jedlicka led the way with 24 points, while Robbie Annett and Henry Beck joined in double figures with 14 each.

The Homer girls dropped to 0-2 with a 66-28 loss to Grace.

For the Homer girls, Channing Lowney led the way with 11 points, while Sydney Shelby had 5, Keagan Niebuhr had 4, and Juliann Techie, Minadora Reutov, Mally Im and Hadley Glidden had 2.

For Grace, Sophie Lentfer had 21, Poppy Wiggers-Pidduck had 12, M.J. Van der Horst had 10, Ella Boerger had 9, Molly Schild had 7, Josie Evans-Grant had 5 and Olivia Jones had 2.

Thursday

On the opening day of the classic at Grace Christian School in Anchorage, the Monroe Catholic boys defeated Homer 67-49 and the Barrow girls defeated Homer 62-33.

Kiara Burnell had 12 to lead the Whalers. For Homer, Sydney Shelby had 13 while Channing Lowney and Keagan Niebuhr had six apiece, Minadora Reutov had four, Juliann Techie had 2 and Lillie May Kuhn and Mally Im each had 1.
