Voter tidbit: Important information about voting in the upcoming elections

Mark your calendar now for these upcoming election dates!

Tuesday, Aug. 20: Alaska Primary elections

Tuesday, Oct. 1: Kenai Peninsula Borough/City elections

Tuesday, Nov. 5: State and Federal elections (General election)

If you have not registered to vote in Alaska and want to vote in the Aug. 20 Alaska Primary, you must apply by Sunday, July 21. To apply online, visit www.elections.alaska.gov/. If you have questions, call the Alaska Division of Elections at 907-465-4611.

To vote in the Primary election, you must know what district you are in to see your sample ballot. You can find this information at myvoterinformation.alaska.gov/.

For the Primary Election on Aug. 20, you can easily access a sample ballot for your district at www.elections.alaska.gov/election-information.

To apply for an absentee ballot for the Primary election and/or the General Election on Nov. 5, go to www.kpb.us/assembly-clerk/elections/election-seats.

To apply for an absentee ballot for the Borough/City elections, go to www.kpb.us/assembly-clerk/elections/about-us.
