Timothy John Scott

Longtime Homer resident, Mr. Timothy John Scott, 72, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018 at The Homer Elks Lodge in Homer. He will be scattered in the Kachemak Bay and Gloucester, Massachusetts at a later date.
Timothy was born July 9, 1945 to Francis and Dorothy Scott in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He graduated from Ridgewood High School. He worked as a waste water operator for B.U.E.C.I and in the North Slope Borough. He also worked as a plumber for many years. Tim was a member of the Elks Lodge, loved reading, hunting, fishing and Lobsters.
The family wrote, “He was one of six children who later moved to Barrow, Alaska in 1984, where he met his wife Stella Hannah Kaleak. Timothy previously married with one son prior to meeting Stella. Timothy and Stella met June of 1985. They later married August 2, 1993. As a young man, Timothy enlisted in the U.S. Army serving until he was honorably discharged.”
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Christopher A. Scott and Chalmer Kignik.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Hannah Scott of Homer, Alaska; grandson, Ethan Thomas Murphy of Homer, Alaska; daughter, Barbara Scott of Homer, Alaska; sons, Timothy Scott, Jr. of Borlange, Sweden and Ralph A. Kaleak, Sr. of Barrow, Alaska; siblings, Tony Kaleak, Linda Scott of Sequim, Washington, Mike (Marsha) Scott of Lahabra Heights, California, Kate (Dave) Willwerth of Magnolia, MA; Annie Miller of Savannah, Georgia, Darlene (Brower) Frantz of Barrow, Alaska, Riley Kaleak, Jr. of Barrow, Alaska, Freddy Joe of Barrow, Alaska, Josie (Freddy Joe) Kaleak of Barrow, Alaska, and Mary Noyakuk of Nome, Alaska; grandchildren, Connor Scott of Borlange, Sweden and Ronja Scott of Borlange, Sweden; mother, Clara Kaleak of Barrow, Alaska; daughter, Jeanette (Ralph) Kaleak of Barrow, Alaska; uncle Gene Howard and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
