Homer resident Sharon Lynn Gaedeke, 72, passed away, Thursday, June 20, 2013, at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer.
Services were held Monday, June 24, 2013, at Land’s End Resort.
Sharon was born June 18, 1941, in Wenatchee, Wash., and was raised in Walla Walla. For most of her life she lived in Pasco, Wash., where she raised two children and operated flower shops with her husband. In 1999, Sharon retired and moved to Homer, where she was co-proprietor and owner of Room with a View Bed and Breakfast and a volunteer at Pier One Theatre.
“She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family, moose, fishing and cooking. She was the most kind and gentle person that would do anything for her family and friends. Mom, we love you and will miss you,” her family wrote.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Manfred Gaedeke of Homer; sons, Hans Gaedeke of San Diego, Calif., and Erich Gaedeke of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be sent in memory of Sharon to Pier One Theatre, P.O. Box 84, Homer, AK 99603.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
