It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Scot Allen Gilliland on November 30, 2024 at the age of 60. Born on November 18, 1964, to Dorothy (Burch) Gilliland and Leonard Gilliland in Seward, Ak, Scot filled our families lives with his gift of love, mischief and light from the moment he came into the world.

Scot was raised in Kodiak, AK and graduated from high school in 1983.

Scot is survived by his ex-wife, Lynda Gilliland and their sons Tyler and Terry Gilliland of Homer, AK, brother Dyton Gilliland, sisters Liz Ricks, Lisa Oliveira and Elizabeth Willett, Brother-in-law David Oliveira, Niece Shea Lynn Oliveira -Lee and Nephew Cole Oliveira, Aunt Donna (Burch) Buetner, Great Aunt Barbara Burch, cousins Cecil Ranney, Scott Ranney, Sean Lund, Ryan Nelson, Keith Burch, and William Burch.

He was preceded in death by his parents, many relatives, friends, and his sister Lynn Marie Gilliland.

A celebration of life will be held in Homer Alaska this coming Spring with an additional announcement of the date and time to honor our brother.
