Ronald was a lifelong Merchant Mariner and lover of the ocean. He obtained his first Captain’s license by the Coast Guard of Alaska in 1962. Ron was a commercial fisherman, ship captain, mechanic and jack of all trades. His unique intuition of the land, ocean, sky and wildlife made him an unstoppable force throughout his life. He lived a full life with a range of adventures that most can only dream about. He was often the quietest person in the room yet could say more in a few words than most could in a paragraph. He was an artist of carving and woodworking. His love and compassion for his family and passion for the Lord will remain in our hearts and lives. Ronnie, Dad, Daddy, Hop, Grandpa, Bampa, Brother, Uncle and Cousin, he will be fondly missed and remembered.
There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Ron’s life. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to recover the costs for his care by contacting Nita. Cremation has been chosen. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
