Marilyn Virginia Prevost

Longtime Homer resident, Marilyn Virginia Prevost, 81, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018 at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage.
A celebration of life and potluck was held Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at The Homer Elks Lodge in Homer.
Marilyn was born in 1937 in Fairbanks and raised in Livengood. Marilyn was the first child in Livengood in 1937. The family moved to Homer in 1944, where she grew up.
Marilyn graduated from Homer High School. She later married and raised four children. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, reading, plants, bird watching and family.
Marilyn was well known for her love and compassion for everyone. She was an angel on earth.
“We love you, Mom,” the family wrote.
Marilyn was survived by her sister, Barbara Anders; children, Ed Prevost Jr., Cheryl Gardner, Paul Prevost, and Robert Prevost; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
