Linda Carol (Bock) Painter, age 73 of Ninilchik died Monday, May 1, 2023 at Central Peninsula Hospital, in Soldotna Alaska.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, May 20, 2023 at NTC Community Hall in Ninilchik with Pastor Darla Bradley.
Linda was born December 30, 1949, in Omaha Nebraska and the daughter of James (Jim) and Carol Bock. She was the oldest of 6 children.
Linda moved from Nebraska, California and Washington before moving to Ninilchik in 1956 with her family. She graduated from Ninilchik High School then married her high school sweetheart Michael (Mike) Painter, May 25, 1968. They have 3 children; Michelle Sigler and Danielle Nolan of Kenai; James (Jim) Painter and wife Jocelyn Grant of Ninilchik.
Linda worked various jobs from Bartender to Behavioral Health Aide. She was an amazing volunteer for so many organizations. Holding many different offices with the American Legion Auxiliary Post 18 and the Kenai Peninsula Fair Association.
Linda was not afraid of getting her hands dirty from fishing, camping, cooking, moose processing, gardening, experiments and playing with the kiddos. She enjoyed quilting, garage sales, bingo, gambling, and visiting with her friends and family.
Linda is proceeded in death by her parents Jim and Carol Bock; siblings, sister Debra Henderson and bothers Bill and Rick Bock.
Linda leaves behind her loving husband Mike Painter of 55 years, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Bothers Roger and Shareen Bock if Wasilla and Craig and Helena Bock of Ninilchik and so many dear family and friends.
We all have fond memories that we will hold close to our hearts forever.
