Longtime Alaskan and Homer resident Kathy Ann Duncan, 60, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer at South Peninsula Hospital in Homer.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. April 8, 2017, at Christian Community Church in Homer.
Kathy was born June 27, 1956, in Spokane, Wash. She moved to Alaska in March 1967, living in Kodiak. She also lived in Hawaii and Oregon, and did missionary work on the ship M/V Logos Hope which took her to several countries.
Kathy loved children. She had worked in the Homer Elementary School District as a teacher’s aide and worked primarily with children with special needs. Kathy was a member of the Christian Community Church in Homer.
She is survived by her parents, William and Glenda Rosenbalm, of Homer; brothers, sisters-in-law and nephews, Victor, Kimberly and Brady Duncan of Girdwood; and Stanley and Ginger Duncan and Dylan Dick of Kodiak.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
