Judy Craig Heath
Dec. 6, 1946 – Dec. 6, 2021
Former Homer resident Judy Craig/Heath passed away with family by her side on her 75th birthday, Dec. 6, 2021. This after several decades of deteriorating health due to Multiple Sclerosis.
Judy moved to Homer in 1976 and left in 1989 following the divorce. A stubborn Dutch mom she was. She never stopped being a advocate for education and helping others. While in Homer she was very involved raising her kids, with KBBI, folk dancing and the Baha’i Faith. Like many Alaskans, she found ways and skills to keep things going; she worked for National Bank of Alaska, had her own Rose Garden child care, worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard at the Homer pool, at Homer Glass for many years, in the Harbormasters office, and for the City of Homer.
While she moved from Homer to the Corvallis, Oregon, area where she passed away, Homer never left her heart.
While she leaves us all behind, her eight grandkids and four children will be missing her the most, including Peter in Sequim, Washington, Tamara in Carmel, California, Aaron in Bend, Oregon, and Lance in Bonney Lake, Washington.
In memory, feel free to dance to your favorite tune and move your whole body if you can!
