John Robert Hansen, passed away on July 7, 2020. John joined the Navy during World War II at the age of 17 and was assigned to the service in the Pacific Submarine Fleet. John came up to Alaska, applied for a homestead and landed on the beach near Stariski Creek in 1948.

On Saturday, July 31, 2021, there will be an Honor Guard for John starting at 2 p.m. at the Anchor Point Cemetery, with a reception immediately following at the VFW. The Hansen family would like to extend an invitation to friends and family to join us for this celebration.
