John J. Lind

John J. Lind, 70, of Cambridge, Minn., died Oct. 9, 2015, in Cambridge. He was born Sept. 11, 1945.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Lola Lind; brother, David, and sister, Lorraine Balthazor. 

He moved his family to Homer for two years (1978-1980) to attend Alaska Bible Institute.

He loved gardening, canning, cooking, reading and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Terry; and daughters, Heidi (Tyrone) Bell of Princeton, Minn., and Nikola (James) Socha of Homer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tevin and Shashana Bell, and Jacob, Kendra, Cole, Jonah, Anna and Kimber Socha.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Hickerson Memorial Cemetery on Diamond Ridge.
