Harold “Hal” Leon Brandt

Homer, Alaska resident, Mr. Harold “Hal” Leon Brandt, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
His cremated remains will be buried next to his wife at their house.
Hal was born July 26, 1949, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He received a bachelors from Wheaton College in Illinois, and master’s degree from Biola University in California. He worked for Homer Roofing in partnership with his son. Prior to that, he was the owner of Brandt’s Quality Roofing in Simi Valley, California for over two decades. He loved collecting driftwood and pottery. He also loved gardening, singing and reading the Bible.
The family wrote, “You’ve done well father. May your burdens be laid down and your rest enjoyed.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Brandt.
In Alaska he is survived by his son, John Brandt of Homer and daughters, Cheryl Tolman of Homer, Laura Brandt of Anchorage along with four grandchildren. In Pennsylvania, he is survived by siblings Miriam Moury, David Brandt and Donald Brandt along with many extended family. Arrangements made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
