Frank Henry Muller, 62, died Dec. 14, 2013. “He left this earthly world in peace and finally, pain free,” his family said. He wished to be cremated and his wishes have been honored. His ashes will be scattered at a later date in Fairbanks, Homer and King Salmon.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Dec. 27, 2013, at The Terrace, the Homer Senior Center assisted living facility. All are welcome. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Homer or The Homer Senior Center.

Fairbanks born and a lifelong Alaskan, Frank grew up hunting and trapping. Adventuresome from an early age, his travels and jobs took him all over Alaska. Life highlights would have to include guiding adventures with the King of Nepal as well visiting with Mary Carey at the Mt. McKinley Lodge while trapping wolves in Denali Park.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Joseph Anthony Muller of Morrilton, Ark., and Wilma Juanita (Allen) Muller of Findlay, Ohio. Three wives also preceded him in death: Racey Clier of Portland, Ore., Donna Fuller of Anchorage, and Laurie DeSacia of Fairbanks.

After his third wife Laurie died, Frank went to work in King Salmon, and found an extended family he grew to love dearly. He was exceptionally proud to be a member of the Teamsters and very protective of his commercial driver’s license and equipment ratings. Always good with math, he became a water tech and retired after 10 years as the base was downsizing. He then moved to Homer and lived at The Terrace.

He will be remembered dearly and missed sorely by those who could call him family or friend. He was exceedingly generous of spirit, once winning $1,500, then giving the money to a friend’s pet who needed an operation for survival.

Frank is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Merlin Cordes of Homer.
