Dorothy Sue Miles

Dorothy Sue Miles died Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Snellville, Ga. She was 86. Ms.Miles was a native of Memphis, Tenn., but she had been a resident of Montgomery, Ala., Snellville, Ga., and Homer, Alaska. She lived at the Homer Senior Center for about 10 years and always loved her Alaska home. She is survived by her children, Susan Powers, Charlotte Taylor, Carol Whitaker and Russell Allen Furr. She had seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) or the local animal shelter.
