Caroline Gill died peacefully of old age on Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Homer. She was 95. Born in Wheeling, W.V., to William Brownlee and Levancia Livingston Erskine on April 16, 1918, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Jane; her parents; and her husband, John Joseph Gill. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; a son, Patrick Gill, of West Point, N.Y.; daughter, Shelley Gill, of Homer, and adopted daughter, Monica Pruyser, of Delray Beach, Fla.; and granddaughters Kye Klamser of Joshua Tree, Calif., and Anna Gill of Ithaca, N.Y.
