Soldotna-based Alaska State Troopers have identified the persons Tuesday night’s homicide-suicide case as Earl Moore, 69, and Lynda Moore, 66, both of Soldotna.

According to trooper records the couple had recently divorced. The investigation is ongoing, but the evidence collected on scene indicates the incident was a domestic violence homicide followed by a suicide. Trooper spokesperson Megan Peters said the assault appears to have initiated in the driveway of the residence in the Skyline neighborhood just outside Soldotna. The victims were found deceased near the property line of the residence and the roadway.
