The Homer Kachemak Bay Rotary Club has benefited many people in our community and all over the world and I was honored to receive its academic scholarship to assist me with college. Offering these scholarships takes a great deal of time for Rotary members and I would like to thank them for their work to help students pursue their career objectives. I plan on taking  lessons from the volunteer efforts of this organization and give back to my community in the future. I hope you will join me in thanking them. 

I also was honored to be rewarded the Homer Community Science Scholarship at the Homer Foundation.  This scholarship will assist me in pursuing my interests in the fields of science at Colorado State University in the fall. I am very thankful to the community members who have made the investment in scholarships such as these. The joy of learning should never stop, but college is expensive and not affordable for many students. I would not have been awarded this scholarship if not for the generous scientists who have fostered my interests and encouraged me to pursue my dreams. Thank you for your investment.
