Registration for the Tustumena 200 will open at 8 a.m. Oct. 15. The T200 entry fee is $250 for early entry and $350 after Jan. 15. The T100 entry fee is $150.
The T200 is limited to 40 mushers. The T100 is limited to 15 mushers. A wait list will be created for each race.
The start order will be assigned based on the order of official sign-ups. Entry order priority is given in the following order: online and United States Postal Service, according to a press release.
This year’s purse will be $50,000 with the first place finisher receiving $10,000; the second place, $8,000 and the third place, $6,100. Prize money will be given to the top 20 finishers.
The T100 Purse will be $1,500, with prize money awarded to the first through fifth place finishers.
There will be an awards banquet on Monday, Feb. 3, with musher and handler receiving a ticket.
