SVT Health & Wellness has hired Renae Blanton, a family nurse practitioner with experience in holistic and integrative medicine. Her specialties include family medicine, women’s health and bio-identical hormone replacement, and treatment of chronic illness including chronic fatigue, diabetes, high blood pressure and digestive disorders.

After attending Texas A & M University, Blanton graduated in 1991 with her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She was an active-duty U.S. Navy Nurse Corps Officer for six years and an additional six years active reservist. In 1999, Blanton graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her master’s in nursing, family nurse practitioner.

Blanton has been practicing functional and integrative family Medicine since 2001. She lived and worked in Homer full time from 2001-2006 and said she is happy to be back in Homer full time again.
