I would like give a huge thank you to the Kachemak Bay Lions Club for awarding me a generous scholarship to aid in my college education. Further, I would like to thank Amy Christianson and the  Homer High School’s Drama, Debate and Forensics program for presenting me with this year’s Black Hat Award. Drama, speech and debate have been a large part of my high school life and will continue to be for years to come. These contributions, which will be put to the best of use when I enter University of Alaska Anchorage in the fall to study biology, are only a part of the numerous generous financial opportunities that are made available to Homer’s seniors each year. Thank you very much for these awards.
