Due to the temporary housing crunch in Juneau caused by the popular biennial Celebration, the legislature is taking a short recess from the special session, Rep. Paul Seaton said in an email on Tuesday. He will be back in Homer during the recess and will meet with the House District 31 community at these times and places:

• 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, Anchor Point Senior Center dinner

• Noon-1:30 p.m. Friday, June 10, Ninilchik Senior Center lunch
