There will be a community meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, April 15 in the Homer High School Commons to discuss possible consolidation of Homer High School and Homer Middle School. No decisions have been made. The school district is seeking input from local families.
The 2019 graduation ceremony for Alaska Bible Institute students will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26 at Glacierview Baptist Church, 906 East End Road. Please call 235-8648 with any questions.
Homer-Kachemak Bay Rotary Club Scholarship applications are due on Wednesday, May 1. These scholarships are for either academic institutions or vocational programs. McNeil Canyon Elementary
Friday, April 12 — The Community Council will meet at the school at 1 p.m. All parents are welcome to attend. McNeil is also hosting a mathematics competition for students in grades 4-6 that day. Students from the lower peninsula are invited to put teams together. Each team with have one member competing in: chess, magic squares, and multi-step story problems.
