The Kasilof personal-use setnet fishery opens Tuesday and will run through June 24.
The hours for fishing in the restricted area of the Kasilof River on Tuesday are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Times are subject to change through the month, Brian Marston, Upper Cook Inlet commercial fishery manager with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, said.
Additionally, the Kasilof sockeye sonar project begins Tuesday. This project allows the ADF&G to estimate how many fish are making runs through the Kasilof River.
Marston said the same limit will be in place for personal-use setnetters on Tuesday — 25 per head of household with more depending on other family members.
