The Kachemak Bay Campus of Kenai Peninsula College announce that eight students have completed the Homer-based University of Alaska Anchorage nursing program, earning a Registered Nurse and Associate of Arts in Science nursing degree.

These students began the program two years ago after a year or more or preparatory and prerequisite courses. The program included clinical rotations at several local clinics, South Peninsula Hospital and Anchorage hospitals.

The recognition of their achievements will be celebrated at a pinning ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Kachemak Bay Campus’s Pioneer Hall.

To be pinned are Brian Burns, Heather Hays, Angie Holland, Britt Milne, Sandy Plummer, Stacy Roderick and Kim Urban.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
