As part of a Memorial Day weekend visit, the U.S. Navy Pearl Harbor Brass Quintet visits Homer and plays at concerts and events, including a ceremony on Memorial Day at Hickerson Memorial Cemetery.

The group plays at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Boat House on the Spit and at 5 p.m. Monday at the Christian Community Church on Bartlett Street.

Memorial Day events to honor American service members killed in action will be held at the following times and places:

• 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, at Hickerson Memorial Cemetery, Homer

• Noon Monday at the Anchor Point Cemetery

• 2 p.m. Monday at the Ninilchik Cemetery

American Legion Post 16, Homer, American Legion Post 19, Ninilchik, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10221, Anchor Point, hold the ceremonies. The public is invited to attend.
