Annie Ridgely practices turns with roller skis on New Year’s Eve on the Homer Spit Trail. Ridgely is a member of Homer Women’s Nordic ski group and was staying in shape despite the lack of snow with fellow skiers Megan Spurkland and Carlin Rausch.
West Homer Elementary students last month had their third annual tour to the Homer Senior Center.
The project, which spans from Anchor Point to Baycrest Hill, is anticipated to begin next spring.
This year’s festival, running May 7-11, features “Wildlife DJ” Dr. Ben Mirin as keynote speaker.
