Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic received a $65,000 Health Information Technology Grant from the Office of Population Affairs and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  The grant will be used for the purchase, implementation, staff training and integration support of a software system for electronic health records. The new system will improve the quality of care as well as help coordinate care with other medical providers. Family planning expects the system to be in place by the spring of 2014.

Creating a positive client experience has always been a top priority at KBFPC, and the implementation of electronic health records will be another way we continue to do just that.”
