South Peninsula Hospital will begin offering free tobacco cessation support classes to the public every Tuesday evening for six weeks from Dec. 3-Jan. 7. The classes are designed for tobacco users thinking about quitting, recent quitters and anyone wanting to stay quit. Subjects covered include setting a quit date, support through quitting, weight management and lifestyle changes. The classes will be held at the SPH training center from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and are on a drop-in basis. Registration is through the hospital’s community education department, 235-0285.
