Homer mayor recognizes Faulkner for Olympic gold

Olympic athlete and two-time gold medalist Kristen Faulkner received recognition for her accomplishments from Homer Mayor Ken Castner during the city council meeting last Monday, Aug. 12.

The mayoral recognition of excellence reads, “Congratulations on winning gold medals in the Women’s Cycling Road Race and the Women’s Team Cycling Track Pursuit Race at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The City of Homer will be forever grateful for being now known as the home town of a champion athlete.”
