Homer Chamber welcomes new membership director

Julianne Turner says she is happy to give back to the community

Julianne Turner has joined the Homer Chamber of Commerce as the new membership director.

Turner earned her master’s degree in organizational leadership and a bachelor’s degree in business management from California Baptist University. Before moving to Homer, Turner spent 10 years managing a property management division of a real estate office in Southern California.

“I am extremely excited to have Julianne join our Chamber team,” Executive Director Brad Anderson said. “Her strong customer service skills and passion for the Homer community will be big assets in working with our Members.”

Turner and her husband began visiting Homer when her brother moved here three years ago. In an email to the Homer News, she said she found herself in love with the environment, people and “most importantly the sense of community the town of Homer presented.”

Being part of a business that strives to give back to its community “in a massive way,” she said, is a great way to get her feet in the door and start giving back to a community “that not only opened their arms to my brother and his family when they moved here, but also my family as well.”

She said she hopes the chamber continues its vision to bring the community together and “build stronger bonds.”
