Grant helps Sprout grow
We at Sprout Family Services would like to thank the City of Homer Grants Program, through the Homer Foundation, for their generous grant to our organization. With this gift we were able to improve our outreach to families with children 0-5 years, by increasing our advertising and our publications, as well as creating “Welcome Baby” gifts, including a video on the importance of early literacy, for little ones born at South Peninsula Hospital.
We also used the grant to bolster our internal operations by adding an annual HIPAA training for staff and a new electronic database for client records.
The years between birth and kindergarten are a vital time to lay the foundation for later success in school, work and relationships. Sprout Family Services is here to support families with children 0-5 years, by offering information, activities, caring and qualified staff, and access to books, toys and other supplies.
Thanks to the City of Homer, we can give more families the opportunity to grow up with Sprout.
